The production of our Liqueurs is like

Hödl Hof Liqueurs
Perfected taste
needs its time - each
year after year
First of all, the paint tins must be filled all year round. With liqueurs, these are the most diverse approaches, where e.g. ripe fruits are macerated with alcohol. The alcohol withdraws the aroma from the fruit and thus forms a taste component - a colour for our future image. Of course we need many colours to achieve a good result. That is why we macerate everything the nature has to offer in order to be able to choose from a huge range of tasteful colours. In addition to all fully ripe fruits, we also prepare herbs, spices, nuts, seeds, needles, cones, roots, leaves, wood bark and chips. More than a hundred such tasteful paint tins form the basis for the production of our liqueurs in our company.

The painting of our Nutt Liqueur
For example, when we make a liqueur from green walnuts, the work starts with collecting the juicy green nuts. They are immediately chopped and macerated with neutral wheat grain alcohol. We give the liqueur some rest and constantly taste how the taste develops. After maturing, we think about the nuances of taste it still needs to develop all its beauty. These could be certain herbal tones, some cinnamon, resinous notes, a little apple distillate, a slight sweetness or acidity, or even some rose petals.
Our painting gets a few swabs from our tasteful range of colours until it has reached its full harmony. The recipe has been created, but only for this batch. Each year, due to different climates, different and new tastes emerge, and the game starts all over again.
