Here you have the opportunity to convince yourself of the quality of our products before you fill your bar with the wrong schnaps. Or you can even organise a tasting with friends, work colleagues or your loved ones. Let yourself be seduced into the world of good taste.
Do you just want a little fun in a good atmosphere? Then the fun should also be in the foreground and you should organize everything very loosely. If your guests are experienced connoisseurs of fine brandies or real professionals in the field, there are a few things you should consider:
- Selection of products
In our shop you have the possibility to order all our products in 2 cl-bottles. We tried to keep the costs as low as possible, because we want you to be able to convince yourself of the quality of our products. - Selecting the tastingplace
Make sure that you choose a place in which the participants have peace and sufficient time at their disposal. Your private living or dining room is much better suited than a noisy and smoky bar. - A good sommelier needs a lot of space: a few glasses (depending on the size of the tasting), lots of water and water glasses, a notepad and writing materials.
- Water is important during the whole tasting to neutralize the mouth. A carbonated and neutral water is best suited.
- Dekoration: Decoration: A loving and individual decoration gives your private tasting a very special ambience.
- No spicy food before tasting! Sharpness numbs the taste buds.
- A good and relaxed atmosphere before and during the tasting also influences our sense of taste.
The importance of the right glass is still underestimated. The classic Austrian shot glass (stamperl), a tumbler and a long drink glass are perfect for gastronomy and parties. However, in order to be able to perceive all the aromas of a good brandy, a tulip-shaped glass is an absolutely necessity. Here the aromas accumulate in the belly of the glass and can be perceived much more intensively via the narrow upper part in the nose. The opening of the glass should be slightly curved outwards. This makes it easier to transport the sample to the front part of the tongue first when tasting.
A good tasting glass should not be too thick. The thinner, the easier it is to warm the sample by hand to increase the aroma intensity in the belly of the glass. The size of the glass should be 6-8 cl when pouring approx. 10 ml sample, then the optimal volume for the right aroma development is given. Try it yourself: Pour 2 cl each of the same schnaps into a tumbler and a brandy glass at the same temperature. You'll be amazed at the differences.
When tasting, make sure that the samples are lined up according to the intensity of the product. At the beginning, serve the samples with lower intensity down to the most aromatic products. The different fresh fruits have a different aroma intensity by nature.
Always taste in groups, i.e. first the brandies, then the various schnapses in a series and finally the liqueurs. Tasting them crisscross confuses your senses and this will influence your judgement. You will find our entire miniature assortment above in the correct tasting order (from left to right). Once you have selected the products for your personal tasting, you can always check at home which order is right for you.
